Target in the Finder cover

I originally picked up this manga for one reason, Ayano Yamane, one of my favorite artists and she doesn't disappoint in this series. The art is gorgeous, the characters are interesting and the plot will make you raise a brow.

The story revolves around an amateur photographer named Akihito Takaba and the man he is hired to take pictures of, Ryuichi Asami. After an interesting first meeting Akihito develops (pun intended) an obsession, which he won't admit to, with proving Asami is up to something. Asami on the other hand seems to enjoy baiting and toying with Akihito at every turn. Akihito takes jobs taking pictures of people in secret and, after believing his first meeting with Asami would be his last, is surprised to keep running into the man. Is that a sign? Or just a curse? Or is Asami really up to something? The strong personalities of the two characters help keep this story up above the waves and make it more interesting since neither is likely to give into the other without a major war.

Another man enters the picture later, one Fei Long Lui, who has ties to Asami's past and pulls the story away from a repeating circle of Akihito spying and Asami catching the spy. I can't really get into what this volume reveals about Fei Long and Asami without ruining the story but it will make you wonder.

I highly suggest this manga for anyone who likes pretty boys, gorgeous art, and strong characters.

There are also some cute one-shot stories in the back just when you need a break from the plot of the actual story.
