Requirements for Published Reviews
Boys on Boys on Film will not publish any reviews which do not meet the following requirements:
Grammar, punctuation, capitalization and spelling must be correct, checked and proofread. Strong reviews with a few errors will be accepted and edited for correctness. Reviews containing many grammar and spelling errors will be rejected.
The tone of the writing must be professional and mature. Reviews containing emoticons ("smilies"), instant-messenger abbreviations (i.e. "OMG"), typed actions (i.e. "*coughs*," "::blush::") or excessive punctuation will be rejected.
Reviews must be at least 3-5 paragraphs long and comprehensive. A review should contain more than just an explanation of the plot -- in fact, the plot summary section should be only a small part of the review!
- Reviews must be complete and include:
- a summary of the plot, but not the entire plot
- discussion of art, story, characters and themes
- discussion of packaging, voice acting, publishing quality or extras
- explanation of the reviewer's opinions and reasons for the given grade
Do not give away the ending of an anime, manga, film or game. Readers do not like to be spoiled.
