X is a pretty much infamous manga-turned-anime by the definitely infamous Mangaka CLAMP. As always, their work contains a huge amount of shounen-ai, and scenes between males that either make you go 'ehhhh?!' or 'YESSSS!'. From the pretty blatant Subaru/Seishirou, the warped relationship of Kamui/Fuuma, even the slight hints of Sorata/Kamui (c'mon, the guy is ATTACHED to Kamui), there's plenty there to debate.
Aside from the angle of shounen-ai, there's also an intense plot concerning the end of the world, and a ton of character drama. I'd say that this is X's strong point-the relationships the characters have with each other, and the fondness that grows for them from us.
CLAMP is always very dramatic and beautiful, so if you dig all that, go rent you some X.
Plus, the chicks in X are pretty cool, too. Karen? C'mon, she rocks.
